Suicide intervention, prevention, postvention course with a public safety focus. Participants will discuss recognition of early signs of suicidality, appropriate intervention techniques, and communication with suicidal persons. We will also discuss concerns specific to the public safety communities and the effects of critical incident and cumulative work stress on the rates of suicide among first responders.
