Our Mission:

We provide the resources, education, and training necessary to serve those affected by trauma.

Our Mission

The Trauma Survivors Foundation goal is to improve the lives of children and families who have experienced a traumatic event and help them learn to live life again.
Those impacted: We provide mental health services through a network of trained trauma therapists.
Those who want to help: We grant scholarships to high school and college seniors who are seeking careers in the mental health field in order to promote further research into trauma psychology.
First Responders : We help firefighters, police and EMS with scholarships to attend approved training classes. We train emergency service personnel to provide crisis intervention when a traumatic event occurs.

Our Impact

Most of our efforts in the past few years have involved studying new approaches to reaching more Survivors of Traumatic Events and developing innovative ways to implement them. We evaluate our success in this field by gathering qualitative and quantitative data, and using that information to measure shifts and changes from our baseline measurements.

Thousand reached

We have assisted and counseled Survivors following mass shootings, natural disasters, Line of Duty Deaths, motor vehicle collisions, and numerous traumatic events.

Years Serving communities

Anyone can experience a crisis at any time in his or her life.  We help Survivors live beyond traumatic events by providing services nationally to anyone affected by trauma.

hundred trained professionals

Our national network consists of trauma trained and licensed clinicians as well as crisis interventionists from the First Responder Communities.

Our Programs

Here at The Trauma Survivors Foundation, we are driven by a single goal; to do our part in making the world a better place for all. Our decision-making process is informed by comprehensive empirical studies and high-quality data evaluation. We strive to build productive relationships and make a positive impact with all of our pursuits.

Trauma Therapy

If you are in crisis, it’s time to reach out for help. Together we can identify the best approach and technique to help you through this difficult time in your life. You don’t need to suffer alone. Healing is possible.

We see every challenge as an opportunity, and this initiative helps us ensure that our partners are better prepared to manage the unique situations they find themselves in. We are invested in an innovative approach that empowers our community with our First Responders and delivers the support, the training, and the skills they need, when they need it.

Meals for Shields

The Meals for Shields Program was designed to provide holiday and emergency meals to First Responders (Law Enforcement, Fire Services, Emergency Medical Personnel, Dispatchers). The meals provided are safe, delicious meals prepared by volunteers who support all facets of the First Responder Community. These meals are provided during Thanksgiving, Christmas, and anytime an emergency need should arise.

March 2018

"I have worked with the Trauma Survivors Foundation on numerous events in the community, from feeding those less fortunate with ‘Fill The Bus’ to providing meals to those who keep us safe on Thanksgiving and Christmas. The members of the foundation work tirelessly throughout the year to help those whose lives have been changed by a traumatic experience. Whether it’s scholarships, emotional and therapeutic support or hands-on community involvement - I have never witnessed a charity do more good or with such immediacy as TSF."
