On Saturday, November 26th the Trauma Survivors Foundation and the Fraternal Order of Police Lodge #1 are hosting a "Fill the Bus" food drive for the Food Bank of Delaware. We will have two  buses to be filled with food, holiday items, and nonfood items located at the ACME Markets in Trolley Square, Wilmington, DE and Lantana Square, Hockessin, DE from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM. Our goal, besides filling both buses, is to gather 20,000 pounds of food for the Food Bank and to have enough for 300 meals for first responders for Christmas.

The Food Bank of Delaware relies heavily on local support to provide enough food to serve close to 242,000 Delawareans each year. Each pound of food is considered one meal, so our goal is to feed 20,000 Delawareans. We will have contests for largest individual, group, and company donation. Can't make it to the "Fill the Bus"? We can also accept monetary donations online  Just $1 provides three meals! $2.50 fills a 10-pound grocery bag, $25 can feed a family of four people three meals per day for a week, $100 can feed a family of four for an entire month, $26.95 feeds a child for one month and $80.84 feeds a child for the entire summer. You can also drop off a donation of food items to The Trauma Survivors Foundation at 2055 Limestone Road, Suite 109, Wilmington, DE 19808.
